Ayyup TIGER!

 AYYUP TIGER!!Hamish's 4th birthday was a rather mixed bag because he actually had a viral infection on the day and was a very poorly boy.These photo's are from Sunday,2 weeks after his birthday when we went to a place called crazee bongo's!He just had to be a tiger on the day and what a great time they had.

 Alice! . . . . . .Just in case you can't guess is a Butterfly!

 Hamish looks rather serious here almost a little grumpy but I can assure you grumpy he was not.

 They had party food,face painting and a fantastic play area with ball pits,giant slides and lots of climbing they certainly worked up there appetite!

Hamish had a homemade chocolate cake followed by a visit and photo with crazee bongo the giant monkey himself.This week has been half term and to be honest I haven't done much in the way of sewing or crafting,I am really disappointed with myself . . . . . . .although I started to make a quilt top about a month ago,with the jelly roll I got a few years ago for my birthday.Hopefully I shall get round to posting some progress picture's on here very soon!And this summer I plan to make a list of all my WIP's to be completed as I've started to notice alot of starts and not alot of finish's :-( tut!tut!

A little something for the weekend!

 Here's what I got up to last weekend,a little late posting I admit but the week has just run away with me.I had two make's of sorts the first pictured is the very tasty lemon drizzle cake . . . .Mmmm!It went down well with a nice cup of tea and even better in my pack-up at work this week ;-).

 It hardly had time to cool down before I tucked in for the first slice.I did manage however a little stitchy make not quite finished but that's for this weekend.I couldn't resist buying the new Cath Kidston book stitch and when I found it on amazon for the small sum of £6.39 I just couldn't say no!And let me say I was not one bit disappointed it was worth every penny.Some truly gorgeous design's that got my creative juice's flowing.

The book inspired me that much that I have had the urge to take up tapestry again,there are some really pretty cushion's in the book that I'm dying to make.I really would recommend this book to a friend it's packed full of inspirational vintage eye candy that will have you positively drooling!

Mini makes and a happy easter!

 I am today feeling rather smug and happy with myself as today has been quite a productive day for once,it may have had alot to do with the terrible wet weather we've had today.I've been busy experimenting with little tasty looking fabric cup cakes.Mmm!

 Some cute quilted CK purses for crochet hooks or whatever you fancy,I'm quite pleased with they way they've turned out.

 Another tasty little fabric cup cake,this time a little brooch for myself,I can't wait to wear it to work.

And lastly a little bit of Hamish style easter baking,he ate more eggs than went in the nest's and some nest's had five or six eggs squished deep inside them,Oooh what fun we had.I wonder if you've all had a good easter and one with lots of crafting?

The tooth fairy cometh!

Alice has had a wobbly tooth for a week or two,finally on thursday when she had friends to play her tooth got knocked out by accident with some help from little brother Hamish,however the saga didn't end there as she took the tooth and put it under her pillow when she'd been told to leave it on the side til later.Unfortunately whilst playing the tooth was forgotten about and lost.Alice was beside herself that night asking "will the tooth fairy still come?".The next morning she woke up and found the tooth on her bedroom floor soo the tooth fairy finally turned up last night.Drama over . . . . . . Phew!!

And the little monkey himself with a rather cheeky little pose,today he has been helping plant potatoes,if that's what you can call it.No crafting here this week so far :-(.Watch this space.

Glorious weather!

 What glorious weather we've had this weekend it's been more like a June afternoon than a day in late March.Alice and Hamish have spent pratically the whole weekend in the garden.In the photo above you can see the late afternoon sun pouring through the kitchen window onto my most recent make . . . . . .yes another little hooky jar jacket,these thing's are great this will live on my craft table upstairs.I feel quite proud of myself as I've only been crocheting for a little over a year.I only wish I could say that this genius idea for old jam jar's was my own,but alas no this is from a great little blog called attic24.

The urge took me today with the weather being so nice to do a little spring cleaning.What was I thinking?I should have made the most of my time and spent it sewing or creating something,anything!But no the cleaning urge took me instead . . . . . .and believe me that doesn't happen very often.I would rather be creating,normally,but today I just wasn't normal perhaps it was all that sun got to me,yes perhaps that's it.I'm sure your wanting to know what the flower is above although you've probably already worked that one out.Well it's a lovely mohair knitted rose flower brooch corsage.If you fancy the pattern just let me know!

Mothering sunday

I had a wonderful mothering sunday.The morning started with cards from the kid's followed by a lovely large box of thorntons,which Hamish advised me not to eat too many mummy because you'll get bigger,bigger & bigger until you touch the sky!Cheeky little devil.

This was followed by some sewing time making a birthday present pictured above for one of Hamish's little friends.And then a visit from a friend from just up the road we had a good old catch up.To say she live's on the same road as me we just haven't had the time to see each other for nearly a year!Wow I can't believe how long it's been and we've promised not to leave it soo long next time.And I'm hoping to catch up with a few friend's at the local craft group next month over the easter holiday's.Yippee lots to look forward to I can't wait and spring is on the way,we've had some lovely bright weather today the kind that lifts your spirit's.And I love getting up early with the daylight and twittering bird song.Good-bye dark and dreary morning's. ;-)

My weekend make!

My little weekend achievement,a little fabric cottage that is supposed to in fact resemble our own little home.I am feeling rather pleased with myself,every time I look at this little cottage I feel rather thrilled with myself,I really do love it!And we had such lovely weather at the weekend too and now spring planting is being planned for the garden and the allotment . . . . . . .roll on summer.Hmmm it's wednesday already it'll soon be the weekend,I wonder what you'll be creating this weekend?
