Where have I been?

Firstly can I say sorry to everyone who follows my blog and was expecting me to announce a craft book giveaway this week I promise I shall be announcing one this monday.Life has been a little hectic this week the children on half term and to be quite honest I've been having a little bit of an off week where I just seem to have lost my bounce and bubble,I'm sure you know what I mean when I say those day's where you just don't feel like doing much of anything! But hay-ho I'm back now and boy have I been busy in the last 2 days!
Firstly last night as promised I took Alice to her halloween school disco!
Then this morning I got up and decided to bake some bread with Alice and Hamish!

And what a lovely bright and breezy autumn day it turned out to be here on the Lincolnshire fens.
Picture's of my neighbours lovely cherry blossom tree that hangs over our fence, such gorgeous colours and very pretty in full blossom too!She say's it looks far better from our side of the fence.
And finally the last of DH's beautiful dahlia's still blooming well for this time of year.

A glorious day!

What a glorius day we've had today on the Lincolnshire fen's,quite warm and sunny for the time of year maybe the last snatch of summer before the weather turns bitterly cold and we have to drag out the winter woolies!
I feel quite up-beat today, perhaps because of the nice weather or perhaps because I feel like I've been quite productive I've managed to make a start on some crochet squares for a throw and I've been crocheting flowers no picture's as yet but watch this space!
So I'll put some picture's of DH's beautiful dahlia's on here before they die off for the winter.Maybe the other reason for my mood is that DH got up this morning for the 3rd time this week with his baking head on and made a really tasty victoria sponge cake, very nice with a cup of tea!Mmm!
And I thought I'd show you a picture of that lovely cake just to tease you a little! So all in all I've had a good weekend, how was your's?

Here's what I've been up to!

This week I finished knitting a snake for Hamish for christmas. He is now safely tucked away in the wadrobe for christmas!
Hamish is snakey mad and seeing as a stuffed toy snake is not easy to come by I thought hey I can make one of those how hard can it be?
And the answer is not too difficult the only problem I encountered was trying to keep it hidden from little eye's whilst I was trying to make him.
I'm not quite sure what to do now that snakey is finished I feel a little lost.My next project I think is also with christmas in mind and Hamish I'm going to start a newton's law chunky cross stitch kit cushion that I got from my local craft group on wednesday.

Friday 8 October 2010
