Sunflowers for me and a little progress

Yesterday was my wedding anniversary and DH gave me some lovely sunflower's freshly cut from our garden.
I really love this beautiful deep red one it's much darker and deeper in colour than this,it's absolutely devine!
I tried really hard to capture it's true colour but it just didn't happen due to the bad light and needing the flash. And I have made a huge amount of progress on Hamish's long overdue quilt, the central panel is all hand stitched and has been quite time consuming.I've decided to be firm with myself and made a promise by hook or by crook it will be finished by the end of this week!So watch this space,no pressure then? Now that I've told you all.

Painting in the sunshine!

How serious is that little face?Today was one of the first sunny day's we've had for a few day's and Alice and Hamish were dying to do some painting so they set up out in the garden with a couple of DH's old t-shirts to protect there clothes.
Hamish appear's to be taking the whole thing very seriously and whilst they were busy painting I've been busy doing a little creating of my own!
Which I shall reveal all in good time but for now I shall leave you with a couple of picture's of my budding little artist's in the sun.

Poorly little man!

My poorly little man last night! He's just not himself at the moment he's been falling asleep on and off all day and he's been abnormally quiet,I shouldn't really complain as he's normally a really noisey little boy.
And last night for super freshly picked and cooked by DH this lovely broadbean and bacon salad. It's really tasty and such an under rated bean,so many people say "Yuk I hate broadbeans"What a real shame you really don't know what your missing folk's!
