i have to say yes i did participate and yes i did work on alice's quilt but progress is slow and i don't like to have too many sewing projects on the go as i might be tempted then not to finish them.

OUR 1ST BANTAM EGG

This is our 1st ever bantam egg,we aqquired some little black bantam hens before christmas and were told they were at pol not so it would seem as we had to wait some six weeks til now to get an egg,but wow it was worth the wait the beautiful bright yellow yoke and the lovely rich flavour.Sadly the other 4 hens still show no signs of laying.

A LITTLE BARGAIN!!

Today i got alice a real bargain a little pink and purple singer sewing machine in a local charity shop for a pound and it works it runs on batteries has it's own little foot pedal and it actually works, when alice got in from school today and saw it she was so excited i told her i took one look at it tucked away in the corner of the charity shop and new a little girl who would absolutely love it,she said it must have been made just for her because it's pink and purple her favourite colours.

nearly finished YIPEE!!

Hamish's quilt is nearly finished only 19 months in the making with more stops than starts,it would have been finished new years eve but Hamish has been un-well and every time i set to it to sew a bit more he tugs on the corner of it wanting to cuddle it,he is laid asleep in his rocking chair this evening cuddling it with about 5" of the binding left to sew.
just as soon as it's complete i shall post a picture or 2.
